On World Health Day, Rakul Preet shares fitness tips

Actor Rakul Preet Singh is a fitness enthusiast. On World Health Day, she spoke about the importance of staying fit. “Since it is World Health Day today, I would like to share a few tips on healthy living. It’s very important in today’s times that we take care of our health, as we don’t know what we are eating, what the source of our food is and where it’s coming from. The least we can do is make the right choices. Please keep your meals balanced, as there is nothing more important than giving your body the right nutrition. What you sow is what you reap. So the food that you give your body and how you take care of it is how your body will take care of you when you grow older.”

She adds, “Eat a balanced meal and don’t follow crash diets. White rice is not bad, so have your carbs. But make sure of when to have your carbs. Eating healthy fats will not increase your cholesterol. In fact, it’s healthy for your body. Eat a lot of fresh seasonal vegetables.”

Talking about her diet regimen, Rakul says, “I eat everything except for fried foods and sweet. It’s important to avoid processed and junk food. One fad crash diet won’t make you healthy. In fact, it will put your body through trauma. Adapt a healthy lifestyle, take care of yourself and include regular exercise as a part of your daily routine. If you don’t have the time to hit the gym, just walk or keep moving.”
