Dr. Akshay Tiwari is the Head of Musculoskeletal Surgical Oncology at Max Institute of Cancer Care, Max Superspeciality Hospital, Saket. He is a fellowship trained Musculoskeletal/ Orthopedic oncologist who found the care of patients suffering from cancers/ tumors of bone and soft tissue as his calling during his orthopaedic residency, and went on to train extensively in this highly specialised field. His career as a Consultant Orthopedic Oncologist spans more than a decade, and his areas of interest are primary malignant bone tumors, soft tissue sarcomas, benign aggressive bone tumors and metastatic bone disease. After setting up the first exclusive Musculoskeletal/ Orthopedic oncology unit in Delhi- NCR, Dr Akshay has performed more than 2000 surgeries exclusively for patients suffering from bone and soft tissue tumours.
